The Names of God

30 Names, 30 Days, 30 Promises

Get to know God through the names, titles, and pictures Scripture gives Him — one a day for thirty days.

Begin Day 1

Knowing God by Name

In the Bible, a name is more than a label. Scripture reveals God's character through the names, titles, and pictures it uses for Him. Each one shows us something true about who He is.

Over the next 30 days you will look at one name, title, or description each day. You will read a short Scripture reference, a plain explanation, a truth to remember, one reflection question, and a short prayer. There is also a private journal space on every page.

The goal is not to memorize a list of Hebrew and Greek terms. The goal is to know and trust God more. When you know who He is, it changes how you pray, how you wait, and how you face hard days.

Some days cover a personal name like Yahweh or Elohim. Other days cover a title or picture, such as the Rock or the Light of the World. Both teach us about God, and we will say clearly which is which.

How these 30 days work

  • One name or title each day, with the ESV Scripture reference to read in your own Bible.
  • A short "What This Shows Us" explanation in plain language.
  • A truth to remember, one reflection question, and a short guided prayer.
  • A private journal on every page, saved on your device only.
  • Weekly reviews after Days 7, 14, 21, and 28, and a completion page after Day 30.

Take one day at a time. You are not trying to master a subject; you are getting to know a Person.
